化学性质 	l，4-键合的葡糖基线状聚合体。白色无臭无味物质，含有纤维素质点，可由自身粘合作用而被压缩成在水中能迅速分散的片剂。有各种等级，从密实的、自由流动的粉状至粗糙的、绒毛状的、不流动的物质。不溶于水、稀酸和几乎所有的有机溶剂。微溶于氢氧化钠溶液和热的干酪素钠液中。具有亲水亲油性，能在水中胀润，并带负电，故可吸附溶液中的金属离子和阳离子物质。
用途 	助滤剂：抗结剂，粘结剂；增容剂；碎裂剂；分散剂；组织改进剂；增稠剂；水质处理剂。
EEC规定用于啤酒净化。GB 2760-96规定为加工助剂。
EEC-HACSG规定不得用于婴幼儿食品。
用途 	适用于纺织、服装、酿造、食品、造纸等行业
